Like, OMG.

I am writing a Spock/McCoy like right now and a play for next week, and needed a break, and holy oh my goodness!

And of course McCoy has fallen for Spock, and of course that's around the same time maybe Jim thinks "Hey...wait a minute..."

And Spock reciprocates, and of course he has read French book of manners.

Oh, dear!

Yeah, that's all pretty messed up. To be honest, I don't like unhappy love triangles, but that was the prompt.:(

I would read that like right now. :D Which is strange for me, given my preferred OTP. ;)

This: Spock talks like a heartless son of a bitch, but acts like Robin Hood was his childhood hero. Spock thinks Surak would have liked the Rubaiyat. Spock stands up when a woman walks into the room. Spock has a thing for soft cheeses he is embarrassed to admit that’s why he never eats them. Spock can play his harp from dusk to dawn to a dying child in McCoy’s Sick Bay. Spock throws himself on the line for everyone and bitches when someone gets there first. - the Robin Hood and the Rubaiyat and the harp playing and the bitching.

And this: “I will not lie to you,” he says. // “I will not ask you to,” McCoy replies.

And this: McCoy always makes love to him with refined sophistication, Valmont style. - Valmont! Oh, I love your references, and the implication that the characters make said references themselves in the 23rd century ( ... )

:D It's a plasing thought they'd be well-versed culturally, isn't it? I suppose that's what we get with 7 people of genius level packed into one starship-box. ;)

Thank you for fantastic feedback!

Sorry about the heartbreak... *winces* It's not a happy tale, this one.
