This is a panic post (also a meme)

Aug 01, 2011 00:38

So, reel_merlin  submissions are due in 15 days, and I have about 15k to write and then only two more weeks to make final changes. I seriously need a panic icon, because hot damn, am I in PANIC.

So, distract me. Stumbled over this meme three times today, so snagged it shamelessly. Pick a fandom and I'll tell you:

The first character I fell in love with:

The first character I fell in love with: McGee :D When he started writing books, he became my hero. xD
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: DiNozzo. At first, I didn't really react to him at all, except for being a comic relief. Then I learned to appreciate him, and am now very fond of him. *g*
The character everyone else loves that I don't: Abbey. I don't hate her or anything, but her infantilism is a little overboard for me sometimes.
The character I love that everyone else hates: This is a tough one, as I don't really know how universally people hate/love characters here. I'd go with Fornell, except I'm pretty sure people love him, too. ;)
The character I used to love but don't any longer: Hm. No, I got nothing.
The character I would shag anytime: McGee! :D
The character I'd want to be like: Kate.
The character I'd slap: Tony's French girlfriend (Jeanne?). I know it's not her fault, but she annoyed the hell outta me.
My five favorite characters: McGee, Gibbs, Kate, DiNozzo, Jimmy
My five least favorite ( ... )

The first character I fell in love with: Spock. No surprises here. ;)
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Jim Kirk. He annoyed the hell outta me at first, particularly the way he treated Spock sometimes. Also, Scotty. I always sort of glazed over him, until someone opened my eyes to how awesome he is. :)
The character everyone else loves that I don't: Chekov. I don't hate him too much, but I guess my sense of national pride is irritated every time he's made to say something stupid.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Nurse Chapel. Once again, I know not everyone hates her, but a lot of people do. I dunno, I always found myself sympathizing with her.
The character I used to love but don't any longer: Probably none. The more I get to know them, the more I love the lot of them. ;)
The character I would shag anytime: Haha, I'm pretty sure that'd be Mirror!Spock... *smirks*
The character I'd want to be like: Spock
The character I'd slap: Jim Kirk! Repeatedly! Haha, but with love. :)

Carol Marcus is in The Wrath of Khan therefore totally counts. And yeah I really dislike her as well. (as well as the other's who tried to seduce Kirk... he's a 'man's' man. XD )

Old Chekov had his moments... I liked when he was trying to find the Nukes in the Voyage home... otherwise I never liked him and kinda found him to be annoying in general.

TOS Uhura... she rocks esp. in Mirror Mirror!

Right? Uhura is probably a character who's most different from her Reboot self, and in my mind TOS Uhura always will be The Lady. :D

The first character I fell in love with: Frodo. Hey, I was 10 years old, and he was smart. I certainly wouldn't have gotten the same impression if I saw the movies first... >.<
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Pippin. He annoyed me as an utter idiot, but well, he grew on me. ;)
The character everyone else loves that I don't: Arwen. I mean, I'm not sure if everyone loves her, but I've never been a fan.
The character I love that everyone else hates: I'd still go with Frodo, because everyone hates him after the movies, but I still hold on to the image I had of him from the books, so there.
The character I used to love but don't any longer: Nope, I got nothing. My sympathies seem to be pretty stable.
The character I would shag anytime: Haha, if we're talking movie-verse? Aragorn, hands down. :D
The character I'd want to be like: Faramir. I don't think Tolkien believed in female characters that much...
The character I'd slap: Gandalf! Smug old bastard... :D
My five favorite characters: Frodo, Aragorn, Legolas ( ... )

The first character I fell in love with: Merlin!!! ♥♥♥
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Hm, probably Gaius.
The character everyone else loves that I don't: Gwen. Well, okay, I know a lot of people don't like her, but a lot do. She just never worked for me as a character, not even in S1.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Morgana. Maybe not online, but a lot of people in RL hate her ever since she turned evil, and I just admire how shameless she is about it. Well, and gorgeous, too. :D
The character I used to love but don't any longer: Nope, can't think of anyone. This seems to be a trick question for me. *headdesk*
The character I would shag anytime: Merlin because I love him. Well, and obviously Gwaine. :D
The character I'd want to be like: Merlin. Magic is cool, but I sort of like the way he keeps getting up after he's slapped and keeps on smiling. I admire the hell out of the people who are like that.
The character I'd slap: Arthur. *ducks under the desk* Well, I love him really. Just ( ... )

i don't like gwen at all! so we are two, because she never gets to be a good Gwen and i don't like Gwenevere in particular because she always will ditch Arthur for Lancelot after breaking him first and i love Morgana!
i love Merlin and Arthur in this one, but in other movies stories i always loves Arthur because i'm his fan forever !

Yeah, gotta love Bradley, though, as he seems to share your view and mine. Here he pretty much says that Arthur's going to marry Gwen for political reasons, how about that? :D

The first character I fell in love with: Rachel. :D I kept staring at her through episode 1 with her gold stars and youtube videos and kept thinking: 'Is she for real?' XD
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Brittany.
The character everyone else loves that I don't: Finn. Just really, what an oaf. :P
The character I love that everyone else hates: Sue Sylvester. She makes my day every time. XD
The character I used to love but don't any longer: Nope, can't think of anyone, sorry.
The character I would shag anytime: Augh, this is tough, for some reason I don't find most of them very shaggable. But probably Kurt. In a totally platonic sort of way. :D
The character I'd want to be like: God forbid from any of them. Srsly.
The character I'd slap: Finn. I could never scrape enough respect for the guys who kept waiting while the girls decided between themselves who's gonna have whom.
My five favorite characters: Kurt, Rachel, Mercedes, Brittany, Will Schuester
My five least favorite characters: Sam, Quinn, Terri, Emma ( ... )

That scene! ♥♥♥
Yes, please! :D

Oh, I dislike Quinn a great deal. But I think it's mostly personal, not because she fails as a character. ;)

Well, Lea Michelle can sing, there's no kidding about it. It's like Kurt said somewhere, that you can hate her guts but when she starts to sing you sort of want to forgive her -- not everything, but a lot. Mostly, tbh, Rachel amuses me, because I keep thinking (hoping) that nobody's actually this absurd in RL. But it's Glee, so anything could happen. *g*

Finn just sort of... stands there. It's annoying. Also, I could never quite get all the fuss about him being the hottest guy in school. Srsly? *blinks*

Haha, oh I wouldn't worry. I think Glee is pure entertainment in the way it's supposed to be. Your critical mind sort of checks out, and you just go with the flow. It's relaxing. ;)
