This is absolutely perfect! You really capture the hell of high school reunions, even for those of us who weren't voted "Most Likely to Die in Prison". And Jim's maneuverings to get Spock to pose as his hot alien boyfriend when that is all both of them want. Lovely! I appreciated that you showed Jim's school-friend Maggie, as well.

Jim's manipulations are priceless, particularly considering that Spock is jumping all around him shouting: 'What do you want me to do??? Name it! Name it! I'll do it!' :DDD

Yay. Maggie got her role cut a little at the end, but I'm glad she was enough of a presence. :D

I loved it so very much! Jim being this in love with Spock is my favorite Jim, and your Spock is perfect. Such a sweet and believable story, thank you for sharing.

Haha, this Jim is my favorite Jim, too. I think it's residual wish to compensate for all the bitchslapping in the movie. :D

Yay! Glad you liked. :D

Well, I liked them in the movie too, all bitchslapping including. I think in the end Jim looked ecstatic to have Spock with him on the ship (that's not just my wishful thinking) :D

Well, personally, I think that the way he looks in that scene is more 'Hey, look, I won again, I'm totally awesome, totally knew you'd come back crawling' than ecstatic but that's just a personal impression. ;)

Sweet! I don't think anyone has done a class reunion before, at least I haven't come across it. This was excellent, Thanks for sharing :)

First time posting a comment despite some months of lurking.

I'm Italian and here we don't exactly have the tradition of high school reunions, but I enjoyed this fic very much. Possibly because, if ever there was a high school reunion of my class my first and last thought would be "Hell, no!"

Mixed thoughts as they go:

The sight makes Jim grin.
… Jim loves it to death when Spock does that.
...This is exactly why he needs Spock on the ship
… He doesn’t know what it is about Spock that makes him feel so bashful...

I just love it that Jim is such a teenage girl for Spock. I bet he doodles their names with hearts and flowers in his padd.

Like all Vulcan clothes, it’s somewhat baggy, of some indistinct but depressing color

You know, I was just watching the deleted scene of Spock's birth (OMG, how cute was baby!Spock and his tiny ears?) and I noticed Sarek is wearing a rather fitting jacket that while a bit uncomfortable looking does wonders for his shoulders... maybe there is more variety to Vulcan fashion than we thought?

WOW. Long comment with quotes is long, awesome, and with quotes!

Haha, oh, I'm not so sure if Jim quite got to the point of hearts doodling, but yeah, he's got it pretty bad. *g*

I do think though that if anyone on the nuTrek cast is more likely to believe in everlasting romantic love, it would be Jim. He would just automatically exclude such a possibility for himself, but he'll be all for it for other people. Like in movie canon verse, Jim might still flirt with uhura for the lolz, but having seen her with Spock, I'm pretty sure, Jim would root for them very hard when it matters. He's noble and romantic like that. :D

Lucky we have fanfiction to deliver us of this possibility... >.<
:D

No, Jim definitely isn't the only one, Spock is all the way in there, too. :D

Well, that depends on what you call horizon. :P DNSB is one of the stories I'm working on right now. Can't say that I'll ber eady to part with it soon, but you know, we're getting there. ;)

Thanks for the AWESOME FEEDBACK!!!

I'm a very firm TOS Kirk/Spock shipper and a Reboot Kirk/Spock in fanfic world, but for movie!canon I'm all for Spock/Uhura. Except you don't find as many good S/U fanfics as K/S ones.
This, however, is a scenario I'd dearly love to see, because you're right, you can believe it would happen. So, if you ever decide to wade into those treacherous het fic waters, it sounds like you have an interestings plot ready to go... *whistles innocently*

It's good to know DNSB is still in the works, I'm mildly paranois about fics I like getting abandoned, it's happened an impressive amounts of time. I'd be particularly saddened if it happened for this one, since it's the one that cemented me as a Fandom!Reboot Kirk/Spock and Pike/Spock shipper. So, take your time and good work!

It's not so much about writing het, as it is in how much a particular pairing spurs you on. Spock/Uhura don't really do it for me, even though I like Uhura a lot and I can definitely see where she's coming from. They are very sweet together, yes, but it's like there's no mystery. No tension. I don't hate them, I don't even dislike them. I'm just not interested, I guess, that's all.

Oh, it most definitely is. But it's a slow process for some reason... >.<
