this is EXTREMELY exciting! except... now i have to go back and reread so i make sure i'm not missing anything! (which is also good, but means it's going to take me a bit before i get to the new bit... *sigh*)

It's really easy. To pair people up with someone I need to see it happen, like have some things that would drive them together. McCoy and Chapel have never given me those vibes.

I wouldn't say she really chased Spock, so much as she simply liked him very much, which clearly, isn't a crime. ;)

I don't think I want to write nuChapel that way, though. I always felt like there was a tremendous amount of sense about this woman. Since reboot hasn't forced an opinion on me yet, I'm gonna go with my feeling. :)

Friends with history do, though, and Spock and Uhura have shared quite a history, particularly when it comes to hurt/comfort. Nope, my conscience is clean about them. >.<
