Ah bless, what a truly fabulous way to start the day. Brilliant, truly. I love the ease and great affection you portray in their relationship, in how in-tune they are to each other. And then how protective Spock got when he saw the bruises... I have a bit of a thing for protective Spock, so that part had me grinning rather hugely. What a wonderful, loving and just all-around feel good story. Thank you, this made my morning! :-)

Oh my gosh, I love this! You build the relationship up so well, from the heartbreaking beginning where Kirk is describing visions of dead people and Spock is just taking care of him, all the way to the end. I love, love, love this: "Very selfish," Jim affirms. "You walk out and take half of everything with you. Half the colors, half the light... half of me, too." That just warmed my cold little heart, seriously. This was a wonderful read. ♥
