Yeah, I guess what I mean is that I agree with you that it's a shame. (And I also feel like if there hadn't been four years between movies, fewer people would have moved on.)

Yeah, well, you know there was this series in the 60s from which people haven't moved on in 40 years even when nothing new was coming... :) This is why I was so mad at Reboot initially. It killed that without giving much in return. Ah well. What's done is done.

I have read little star trek this past two months some wips i folow and a new au i'm reading and a little time ago i finish to read the last one of stella_notecor mprg but really good one, and i finished posting my wip

But i'm reading Sherlock BBC and some XmenFC like there is no tomorrow.
The thing i love the most of Sherlock fandom is the massive magic reallity aus out there, awesome writing, really a lot of star trek writer are there... And of course the bond, the destiny trope, vampire and werewolfs!! Fairies, His dark materials crossovers, sentinel crossovers...Shiny is shiny.
And for XMFC you know about it already... Bond, destiny, the angst, the telepahatic sex, the aus.. You know

ya hey! been very busy training new work, after a loooooong time unemployed which is so not my thing. haven't been on lj in weeks and suddenly realized I miss you all

Honestly? I can't really appreciate poetry in English, even when it's really good poetry. Or I can, but very rarely. I guess this is when the language barrier finally does kick in, and I mostly prefer to keep my mouth shut in order not to say anything stupid. :)

I have a lot of concerns regarding the new movie. I think what I fear most isn't even canonizing S/U, but that the whole thing would have the plot complexity and emotional depth of Avengers. I can work around S/U, unpleasant as it has been and will be, but working when there's nothing to work with at all -- I just don't think I can do that. The first Reboot film is already way too close to that line. >.<

I hope I'm wrong and unduly pessimistic, I really do.
