I don't mean to sound like a dick, but I think I'm gonna soon start removing friends who post nothing but them twitter updates. It isn't why I got this thing. :P
I only have one friend that does that currently and he doesn't have pages and pages of them so it is tolerable so far. But, yea, if more start it, I'll have to rethink my stance on the practice. At least they put Twit right in the name to make it obvious who would like using such a lame system! :)
I dunno, I like to think I'm fairly considerate with it. My LoudTwitter posts are not only LJ-cut, they also filter anything related to @replies or whatever.
So basically what you get is what I'd normally post to LJ in any case, but rather than getting four to six tiny LJ posts, you get one larger post with them all aggregated.
It's more or less exactly what I started doing a long while back after work blocked LJ - I'd keep a text file open and just add bits to it throughout the day, then email it home and post it sometime during the evening. I don't see any real harm in doing that in an easier, less-shouted-at-by-managers manner. :)
I've explored Twitter, and have personally found no real reason to have both LiveJournal and Twitter. I did it mainly to follow a few groups, which later it turned out the same thing could be done here on LiveJournal.
My journal is completely Twitter free and will always remain that way.
I've ended up lately putting people behind a filter that post Twitter updates to their journals. It got so bad that I'd have 2 or 3 posts a day with nothing but Twitter stuff from a single person.
I might start removing people too... filters are a hassle over something so silly.
