Gosh, K! That's... pretty big news.

I liked learning a bit about your history, but I'm sorry about the context that leads to this story.

I guess I don't quite understand it all, though. I mean, you have the big house, for which you'll be compensated. Your mom (and you) have another house. Plus you have an apartment. Why can't you use the funds from the government buy-out to buy a new, equivalent big house? Or sell the other properties and get an even bigger, nicer house? I know it wouldn't be the same, with all the personal history and such; but living in a small flat when you have assets available?

You'll have a lot to think about over the coming months, and a lot of decisions to make. It will be a lot of work, a lot of stress... but in some ways, I hope, an adventure for you, too!

Good luck!

And... do not give up your beloved books! ;-)

It is rather big, isn't it?

Well, the other house is actually uninhabitable as of the moment. Last we checked, the roof was crumbling and the sewage is full. Hence, before we could even move in to my aunt's house, we actually have to fix things first before it's even decently livable. I.... personally don't want to move in there just yet. And currently, we have a lot of things. orz. And selling it is out of the question actually. ^^;; It's a shared family lot and my mom wants to keep it so no bigger houses for me. And... I don't like big houses. It's just my mom and I.

The small apartment is more of a safehouse (lol, I feel like I'm running away from the government) until construction in the new house starts and finishes. ;3;

But you put it nicely. Some people get married before they even experience this. I... had to get this experience quite early. It's quite an adventure actually. I'm... looking forward to painting walls and all that. T^T)m

And yes. ;_; I'll fight for my books, David! ;3;

I'd... probably be reacting a lot worse than you are right now if someone told us that we need to move out of our house by the end of the year. We've got a lot of crap, and I'm really quite materialistic. And the memories, too... But... so responsible, Papan. ;_; I'm glad that you're taking this well enough. Well, not exactly happy, and I'm sad, too - we wouldn't be able to hold Koushien sleepovers and feasts anymore, and your house really is nice. It's quaint, and the stairs are scary, but I love the general layout and the wooden floors ( ... )

Considering you only had two sleepovers at my place, that's really nice of you to say about my house. :3 Dun cry~ ;3;

Thanks for the storage space and we'll consider it if needed. I think we're closer to really disposing/selling a lot of the stuff that we have in our home. We... have too many things for two people. We'd probably bring it down.

As for ideas. Lol, my blog. orz. I.... have to work on that. >_> My knowledge of History and Japan remain closer to the academe than really being in business. A fandom cafe is interesting but I'm not exactly keen on catering to such a niche market. It's not exactly profitable, even if I have pretty maids. I do agree that a carinderia and gotohan isn't exactly just the only thing we can do. I'm looking into something stabler actually perhaps create a trend that people here will actually like. (I had an onigiri shop or a real decent takoyaki stall in mind) orz. This is hard. I might consider a Tokyo Cafe type though. ;3; Or a yakitori shop. Idk. orz.

*hugs*

Onigiri or takoyaki! o: That sounds good! Your spam musubi will sell out really fast, I'll bet. And if you go to that New Hatchin place in Makati during weekends, you can see that their takoyaki is a huge hit, too, because they use good ingredients. Some people get more than 5 orders each.

Hm... yes. Niche-market businesses are difficult to sustain especially during these times. But you can never go wrong with food, so I don't think it's a bad idea to consider something like the Tokyo Cafe in the future. Good desserts and authentic and innovative Japanese-inspired cuisine. :3 I wouldn't mind working for a place like that if you pull it off.

Oh, and I forgot to say... Um. You could start taking lots of pictures of your house while you're still with it, Khursten. ;_; Maybe even a video with commentary or something. That way you can always look back at it. I've always regretted not taking enough pictures of my family when I was younger, for instance. Or pictures of the rabbits when they were still tiny.

-w-)v Fortunately for me, we're picture whores in our family. I do have pictures of my house and my window particularly. I think I have a couple more of my home but I just haven't uploaded it.

And you're right about food actually. I told my mom na of the businesses that she can go to, it's got to be food since people will always eat, regardless of what happens, right? It's just a matter of convincing her what to open other than let's say, a gotohan. orz.

Ahaha, my spam musubi. There's got to be a way for me to standardize that. orz.
