I'm sure my opinion is n ot shared by everyone, so if you enjoyed the movie throughout and thought it was fantastic and fun, please do not let me rain on your parade. Forego this review and go elsewhere, because really.. I was very dissatisfied.

It did have different writers to the first one.
I can't comment on Jack/Will, because I was always a Jack/Norrington fan, and I think this helps with that one. A friend was really pissed off because they appearantly cut a few scenes wherby Norrington comes off as less self-serving.
I liked it, but I was a little dissappointed. Though I'm forgoing total comment until part three.

I have yet to see it, but someone I work with was saying they went and it was a nice "middle" movie, meaning it bridged the gap well between 1 and eventually 3. But they still loved it.

I haven't seen it I am going this weekend but i saw the director say in an interview, that they tried to write a movie that didn't need Jack Sparrow and then fit the chracter into the story. After WTF? My first thought was this guy was a moron because it is fucking Depp, and it is his creation, either let him off the chain or don't bother. Secondly that is just not a good way to write a solid script. The writing is not so hot this summer.

I liked Superman but the script still needed one more draft IMO.

Well, as I'm more a Jack/Norrington fan, I can't comment on the whole Will situation. However...

Yes! Yes! Absolutely YES! A James Norrington all scruffed up really makes my day! As well, Jack Davenport in those premiere photos! The smile! And the cute curly short locks! And the beard! He is so adorably cute...and still sexy in an endearing sort of way.

I enjoyed POTC2, but thought, far too long and the Lizzie as Deckhand bits were boring. The island was funny, but not needed, and the Dead Man's Chest was just confusing. And what was up with the sound? I thought it just the cinema I saw it in, but others have said the same thing.

But yeah. Norrington=Instant orgasm. We can share!
