I've finally made it

To the 21st century, that is. For the winter holidays, the Numenorean bought me an MP3 player, a cute little blue sansa with 2 gigs of memory. Being my luddite self, it has languished since then. Nothing wrong with a theme. Our computers tend to be named for captains/commanders.... currently, we have Adama, previously we had Jean-Luc.

It is nice to get an mp3 player. Our ipod is old and dying... so we need to get a new one, and are debating getting two so we each have one.

Gee... It must have been a while since I read most of Tolkien's stuff, because I don't recognize half the names you've got there... And I read the Silmarillion!

It's kinda nice- I don't have to swap cd's every time I want to change genre, and I don't have to make a new cd of random single songs.

I admit, there's some obscure names in there. Erestor was Elrond's chief advisor; Maglor the Bard was one of Feanor's sons.

The Numenorean is a reference to my boyfriend- What else do you call an elf that grows a beard?

I'm going to leave this comment before I go Tolkien!geek... any more than I already have.

He's still the Numenorean, at least until he gets his own LJ. I was just making a play on the similarities of the two words.
