Ok, I understand the love you have for them, but please....

Specifically, please explain to me why, in almost every single sequel epic to Kingdom Hearts II that I've read, the Organization returns to life.
Now, this is going to be one of my longer rants, so get yourself something to eat before reading. Ok? Ok. Let's begin. )

worlds, organization

A Vagrant Story crossover would fill me with, quite possibly, more glee than the human body is actually able to contain.

I like Vagrant Story a lot.

Same here. In fact, I'd just love to see a sequel/knock-off of it PERIOD.

Hehe, Sydney Lossterot (Lost Tarot?) messing around with Sora's head amuses me.

I approve of this Vagrant Story lovin'. :D

Oh, Sydney Losstarot would take delight in freaking Sora out. XD He'd actually be really, really interesting to explore, what with how he's as Dark as they come but not actually a villainous character...

I'd like to see how they all got on with Ashley, too. Mid-game or post-game. And I'd especially love to see Riku in there. Sydney would have a field day, and post-game Ashley would probably be quietly fascinated.

(For some reason I lack VS icons. I need some.)

That settles it. As soon as I've finished Kingdom Hearts II, I'm playing that game JUST to be able to include it. After all, Nomura did say he won't include Final Fantasy worlds. He didn't say anything at all about worlds based on other SquareEnix games.

I don't think bringing the Organization back is a bad plot device in and of itself, it's just one of those plots that is rarely done well. I like the idea, myself, even if there's several crappy fics at FF.net using it. I think the problem is that people don't do it with much creativity and don't use it to develop or explore their characters at all.

I've read at least one very good fic that brings dead Organization members back. This makes me think the concept is salvagable.

True, and as I said below, I may have generalized a bit. I'm just asking that there be more creativity in the fandom. Use old characters if you want, just also try to create some new antagonists and helpful characters as well.

The thing is though, a lot of people prefer to explore the old characters in a fandom rather than bringing new ones in. I don't think it means a lack of creativity, because the old characters can be dealt with in a creative manner.

True, but it gets tiresome when I see the exact same characters over. And over. And over again!

I mean, couldn't we get some new Nobodies? As I mentioned, why not Clayton, Scar and Shan-Yu? They'd be perfect Nobody would-be conquerers.

I agree, I shouldn't have generalized like that. What I meant was that MOST writers who bring back the Organization do it rather badly. There are, though, those who can do it well. I'm just saying that we should see it realistically. The Organization isn't coming back. That's all.

Oh? Is it on FanFiction.net? And what is it about?

I understand; I've only posted the first chapter of my Nisemono epic (it's on my LJ, first post; needs some heavy rewriting though, as I wrote it before playing CoM). As for me, I'm thinking of how to establish it so that A.) Nisemono becomes his own person, becoming a fraternal "twin" of Riku, as it were, B.) Develop his own love interest (he still cares for Namine, and therefore Kairi, which I hope to develop), and C.) He becomes a Keybearer in his own right. After all, he has the same qualifications as Riku.

As cool as I think the Organization is, I can't really find a good reason to bring them back to life, so I certainly agree with you.

As for Disney movies...I don't know. I'm also planning a vague sequel for KH II (I have a small basis of the storyline but I probably won't go ahead in it until some influential idea springs to mind) and two of the worlds I thought of putting in were The Hunchback of Notre Dame (as I've bought the Spanish DVD of that recently to improve my Spanish so that's why it came to my mind), Toy Story, Pocahontas. Or, if you want obscure...maybe one of the other Pixar movies such as Monsters Inc? (random idea)

Actually, I've heard that Nomura plans on doing a PSP Kingdom Hearts, which would focus on the Pixar worlds.

Imagine, a game focusing on Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., Cars, The Incredibles, both Toy Stories, A Bug's Life, Ratatouile, and possibly even Toy Story 3.

Now that is interesting, especially since I hadn't known about that till just now. In that case, I'd have to agree, it would make sense if the Organization members showed up in the Underworld.

It also surprises me that they wouldn't do it, considering that usually, game designers can't afford to waste time creating models of characters they won't use. Wasted time, wasted money, really.

Yeah, I've been hoping for a Final Mix Kingdom Hearts II as well. But that only happened because we got some cool things the Japanese didn't get. (Like Sepiroth! HA! Take that Japanese! We got him before you!)

Love the icon. Guilty Gear?
