Aren't wikis supposed to display facts? Or at least have some support ( Read more... )

I find that wiki is really only good for things like what a certain Heartless is called, or what passive ability a Keyblade has, or finding good versions of official art and renders. But I've had issues with that wiki for a while now, ever sense they decided that Roxas was drawn to looking twenty years old. And when I pointed out that, no, he's probably just a bit off model, they took that to mean I thought Nomura was an untalented hack that didn't deserve his job.

It's ridiculous, too. The wiki seems to also have a very ship-oriented mentality. It's irritating because wikis are supposed to show facts and be largely objective. They removed the 20-year-old bit now, but they still insist that he's drawn older in that image.

It's a real shame, especially compared to things like the FFWiki which is exponentially more professional.

But I think it might be the demographics of the editors of the wiki, from what I've seen they're fairly young, while the FFWiki, for example, has a much older userbase.

Yeah, the Sora's Heartless one makes me scratch my head. I play the Coded version, and I apped one place where the mods didn't know much about KH. They asked me to revise my canon point to some time after Hollow Bastion as opposed to Coded. :|

I frequently lol at the wiki and try my best not to use it unless I need the specific name of a room/area or a boss or something. Otherwise it's utterly filled with fanon conjecture. :/

I wish I knew and/or cared about editing wikis so I could go in and fix everything wrong I see when I visit a page instead of whining about it on Twitter, haha.

>try to find reference for rp application
>learn KH wiki's entry on character is written entirely for shipping justification and devoid of accuracy.
>say fuck it and never write an app because that as the reference for my canon compliance? Hell fuck no.

...Reading the personality, fear of Xemnas is understandable, since he can supposedly turn people into a Dusk for too many failures.

I doubt his throne is low because of incompetence so much as him not receiving many missions compared to others--Xemnas seemed to find him better suited for the labs, so he was likely left alone.

...And I really want to know where they get the idea that he's both a coward and not competent in battle. Have they seen his ice sword? Do they know how much that thing is going to weigh, and how fucking hard he is to fight even with a fire-based deck?

Just used the wiki with a friend for a list of the worlds. Other than that, har har.

Wait, what's this about a crippled hand? Where did they get that from?

The white glove he wears plus a blow he takes in Days, apparently.

...Even though that thing is quite obviously soft cloth with the folds in it.

Oooh that. I thought they'd be referring to the battle with Xemnas (though that would be the leg, but I'm not expecting accuracy.)

I've seen that theory before, possibly on that wiki.

Actually, he was also hit just below the ribcage, too. My girlfriend discovered it when iconing the scene.

...No wonder he needed help after the fight. .w.
