Not along the lines of 'Disney is awesome; let's get some more Disney characters up in here' or 'Disney is much more badass than you think', but along the lines of the actual world, because I've read something the other night where people seem to be missing a hugely important thing

But yeah, again, you raise a good point. xD I just always supposed that since the portals/'doors' to the corridors are black/dark purple, they're made of Darkness too.

More to the point: NO! Don't forget the Cornerstone of Light! I loved that part of the game... I hope it will be important again in KHIII, and that there will be other corner stones for earth. air, fire, and water like the final fantasy crystals. which will lead up to a Cornerstone of Darkness somewhere. You know, for the whole balance keeping thing.
...I actually have whole huge fanfic idea I'll probably never write based on all that.

Fff, that is actually a really cool idea. ♥ And I think nearly everyone gets those hugely epic plotbunnies that they will probably never write in this fandom. xD It just spawns that sort of thing. ♥

Oh, I know. I have at least three of those.

One for a sequel-type fic that allows us to get Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie involved (and also Max and PJ, and at one point there was a consideration of the carnival from Something Wicked This Way Comes showing up...) that was supposed to end up with the Heartlesses of the rest of the Organization and the Nobodies of the Princesses of Heart and the Null!Princesses were working with Malificent because I liked the irony and I always got as far as the smile on Malificent's face when an evil version of Aurora contacts her to cut a deal

Oh, and the Disney Channel peeps-fic was incredibly cruel to poor Bonkers because the hub world was Saint Canard and Toontown was one of the worlds that had been eaten by the Heartless.

... And I still have this weird idea of Heartless worlds. And the thought that something like Traverse Town or the World that Never Was or the desert place (I haven't played BBS so I never saw what was actually up with that) was like a Nobody world. And this is without me reading Green Lantern comics.

And I'm rambling way too much and I'll stop now >.>

Aaaand now for a reply to the actual post that doesn't involve me rambling about my pet plotbunnies that I don't have the attention span to write...

Yeah. I'm sure there are ways to mess with the Cornerstone. Magic is notorious for its loopholes, after all. Malificent found one, surely there are more. Or just use mundane means to get in.

But you don't just get to ignore it because it's inconvenient, like everyone does with traveling through Gummi-ship-space. (I still want to see a fic with really epic Gummi Ship battles, but...) Random encounters you can ignore, but this is like a reasonably major plot point here!

For a moment I went "but but but there were Heartless when we visited Disney Castle!" Then I realized that duh, that was when the Cornerstone was compromisedMaybe that fic with the Princesses' Nobodies should include the girls, y'know, hijacking regular Gummi Ships to get to the Castle and invade with Nobodies, possibly pursuant to again finding a way around the Cornerstone's protections to allow Malificent's magic back
