People were actually complaining about their being no Atlantica? Wtf.

*celebrates it's absence*

Not that I minded it much in the second game, but I never got over hating it in the first game.

I actually really like the Hundred Acre Wood :x Probably mostly because I'm a massive Rabbit fangirl, but anyway.

And I never particularly enjoyed Atlantica at all, so I certainly won't be crying about that. celebrating maybe

Seconding this, minus the Rabbit fangirling. I thought the Hundred Acre Woods minigames were fun.

Thirded. Atlantica was okay and all, but nothing hit me right in my childhood as much as Hundred Acre Wood did. It was like rediscovering a secret hideout I'd forgotten for years and years. <3

Really, there's a fairly simple reason why they wouldn't put Atlantica in BBS (or any of the handheld games, CoM's altered version notwithstanding): not enough room. If you're trying to get as much content as possible onto the very limited space for a PSP game card, it doesn't make sense to have a world that will require entirely new character models, rigs, animations and camera controls. Same reason they wouldn't have a world with four-legged forms for the characters.

Aside from that, WOW, fandom. We complain about Atlantica being in KH1 and KH2, and then complain when it's not in BBS? OKAY.

And yeah, a lot of American audiences seem to forget that Square is considering their Japanese audience first, and Stitch is WAY big in Japan.

I thought everyone here loved Stitch too. :/

Oh yeah, it's popular here in America, too! I love Stitch myself; I'm stoked about a Deep Space world. But Japan is way more into it than America; they have a significantly greater amount of merch that we're not getting here, and they created an entirely different anime for Stitch.

I will take Stitch over Atlantica any day.

Fuck Atlantica and it's horrible controls and singing.

Hah, yanno, I hated Winnie the Pooh as a kid, and now that I'm a both hands off the bike handles adult, I really love it. Rabbit is a beleaguered, fastidious delight and WTP has the voice of Kaa from The Jungle Book.

[And I long for THAT world to be playable. *dreams*]

And The Little Mermaid levels have rather worn out their welcome (for me, it's the background music and almost monotone color palette of the backgrounds). The same can be said for Agrabah (I wanna see inside that friggin' palace) but at the very least there's a bit mroe story to eke out there -the third movie and the series.

Just sayin'.

Would be awesome to see Mozenrath.

What were we talking about?

Would be awesome to see Mozenrath.

That. Would be brilliant.
Extremely unlikely. But brilliant.
Or better yet, Aladdin's dad. oh man.

Also, I feel the exact same way about Winnie the Pooh! When I was younger it wasn't anything special, but now I find it rather adorable.

Seconding:

a) the love for Rabbit

b) getting tired of the visuals in Atlantica - it's possible to do clever things with the character forms, but we're never going to really see most of the characters there, and as much as I like blue, you get tired of that being all you see.

c) Wanting to see Mozenrath. And Mechanicles. Please. We've already been getting robot Heartless in Agrabah - hasn't there been speculation that he's been hanging around ever since Kurt Zisa showed up? Let's just have him already. So far we've only got Vexen for a mad scientist villain, and the only really sciencey thing he's done is the Riku Replica.
For that matter, we could easily turn some of the Disney worlds with TV series attached into spinoff games or something. Lord knows Aladdin's got enough villains for it - I can think of three offhand that would just love to partner up with Malificent: Mozenrath, Mirage, and Sadira. Come to think of that, why don't they partner up more often? I think Abiz and Mechanicles are the only ones who've ever really teamed
