I only read the sporking, but that one got me too. A classmate of mine brought his grandparents to talk to our history class once. They had quite a bit to tell us. It's not something you disregard like that.

Unfortunately, stupid people outnumber smart people the world over.

It really isn't something that can be taken lightly, and it's a shame that it is.

I just hope that people who regard horrible historic events like the Holocaust and Katrina and the like outnumber those who don't give a rat's ass. It would be a very scary world to live in if the people who didn't care outnumbered those that did.

She even has the gall to say it's HISTORICALLY ACCURATE. It's not the Holocaust until you have gas chambers, concentration camps, target practice with BABIES AS TARGETS, a mass exodus of people trying to save their families and themselves, and RACISM TO THE MAX.

My feelings exactly. I'm glad that there are people who understand the gravity of those events, and how appalling it is when someone is a complete fucking idiot and decides to stomp on it.

I'll admit, I never cared much for the whole issue (not to say that I don't understand it; something similar happened right here in my country not too long, and I think the majority of families have something to tell about it), but after reading that story (which I wouldn't have touched if I hadn't read its brilliant sporking) I feel a great deal of sympathy about the whole historical episode and a great deal of annoyance at the bratty author. What bothers me the most, though, is her attitude towards her own work. Talk about arrogant. :|

On a lighter note, hello~ Nice to meet 'nother person who reads XigDem fics~ May I please ask for a recommendation or two? I'm having quite a bit of trouble finding anything good about 'em.

Thank you, I'm glad you think I did a good job with the rant. I was hoping not to come off as a total brat myself, but I was pretty damn angry when I was writing it.

I think that was the absolute worst part about the fic- not the fic itself but the arrogance of the writer. I wish I could go back to a time where I thought such people didn't exist.
