Some of the KH characters have alternate name spellings, yes (there is a difference of opinion on how to spell the name of Lexaeus' other, for example- and other people just go by personal preference) but not all of them

Hercules gives me pause because I'm pretty sure it's spelled differently in the myths, but Disney spells it that way, so I spell it that way.

Herculse Hercules gives me trouble as well, and he's one of my favorites... but if I ever see it spelt "Heracles" I will laugh my ass off... actually, I will give them a cookie for knowing the Greek* spelling of the name.... then I'll laugh my ass off.

Yes I know Hercules takes place in Greece... but Disney uses the Roman spelling of his name, go fig....

Yes! I may typo Kaiir longhand and multiple times in a rough draft, but that name is checked before I post (or hastily fixed after I do)! I love spell check- I truly do. Tell it to 'Ignore All' on the correct spelling and it will still pop up with a 'wtf?' if you happen to spell it differently later.

Oh god. XD I've done that. I have done that and promptly run around going 'Shit! Where's my game guide- I can't remember how to spell it!' Silly word looks wrong even when it's not.

Haha, the first thing I did when I got my laptop was to add all my KH lingo to the dictionary. :) It makes me happy. (Also learned the joys of AutoCorrect... I can type "Citeis" for one of my character's last names and it automatically fixes it to Citéis! :D Handy.)

Hee! I dunno, for me, I never had a problem with it. I was just like "Subtitles say paopu, check! :D" and never forgotten since. ^^;

I may have to play with that! I think I accidentally changed the default from USA to UK English and the entire document went to shite. ;p

^^ The subtitles (and web sites with the video clips) are very handy. Nice little reference when you just can't remember 'random fact 492' about the games. I still enjoy using the game guide though. Nostalgia for the days I used to use actual paper dictionaries and encyclopedias.

I find it funny when people can't spell Maleficent, and they either add on a huge amount of letters to maybe confuse people into thinking it's the right spelling, or they keep doing different ones, hoping they eventually get it right.

I once read a fic where they kept calling Kairi "Kiri". I just keep thinking of that girl from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald that'll give you a rare berry in the final gym town. "Paopu berry, anyone?"
