I can't seem to swallow this trend

Is there anyone around here who still calls FF.Net "FF.net", actively attempts to write good fanfic that isn't a snarky, self-aware parody of badfic cliches, doesn't read glaringly obvious badfic unless he/she is looking for sporkworthy material, and actually thinks there is hope for the KH fandom?

...That is all.

*Raises hand* :O I'm all about the optimism!

I write at the pace of a wounded snail, however, so my contributions to fandom are sparse.

I'm fully interested in writing fic, I just need ideas and pairings and prompts that aren't yaoi.

I have never actively sought fic in FF.net for ANY fandom. It's good for putting fic I've written and showing my friends, but nothing else.

Well, I have no hope, which kind of begs the question of what I'm doing here. Although, really, while I don't have hope it's not like I've despaired either. KH fandom has a large majority of people who may in time grow out of the epic stupid, and that's the way, in my head, it's probably going to be. But there are still more than enough shiny, intelligent, goodfic-writing people to make it worth while. Hope, to me, implies that I expect things to change, and I don't, but I'm fairly content with that.

...I'm going to go back to writing smut. *pokes characters* Stop TALKING for a moment, why can't you?!

Yaaay! Where would you like your internets delivered good sir?

Though I have indeed written some parody fic in my lifetime, I personally like the KH fandom very much and enjoy reading what appeals to my tastes. That's not to say I don't accidentally run into an 'oops' here and there...but - I've mostly had a fantastic experience!

I like reading badfic because I get some twisted sort of pleasure out of it. Also, I'm of the opinion that knowing how not to do it usually helps towards knowing how to do it.

And I think the 'hope' for the fandom comes in the form of the next game. There's always going to be a lull in activity in any fandom based on a game series.

Other than that, yeah.
