Please, please, stop making Demyx’s Other come from Atlantica. I’m not saying it’s not a cool idea, and a plausible one, but it’s just that everybody and their mom have already done it. There is already merman!Demyx, sailor!Demyx, fish!Demyx, and again, and again ( Read more... )

I tried really hard to like Disney's Atlantis and failed. It had such interesting characters and great production design, but it was just...flat. :/

I think a lot of people feel this way, which explains the dearth of fic/incorporation in the KHverse.

I TRIEDED. It had a skinny geek for a main character and Spock doing voices and Mike "Hellboy's Daddy" Mignola working on the visuals, but I just...couldn't...do it.

Interesting idea, although I can't see Milo as being Demyx's other.

And how would Maleficent get Poseidon (the one from Hercules' world right?) to work with Hades for her? I'd think Hades wouldn't even want to work with her a third time.

I think it could work if done properly, but personally I prefer considering Others as anonymous persons in various worlds.

This is pure crack! In the first Atlantis legend, the one by Plato, Critias says that the Atlantis was attributed to Poseidon. There lived a woman he fell in love with, and who gave him sons. Everything was perfectly fine as long as the Atlanteans respected Poseidon's laws, but they started fooling around and the gods got angry. In a KH verse where Atlantis would be a world, Poseidon would be a little like Hades: a grouchy and bitter guy because humans/heroes don't go his way (in the Atlantis movie, Atlanteans forgot their own language and traditions). Poseidon would work with Maleficent as well as Hades, Hook or Ursula, trying to trick and entrap Sora while tempting to get back his lost dignity.

I wish I could write it. Why must always work be so intrusive!
