I left a rather irritated review for the fic I'm sporking, Organized Life--and the author replied.

Do I laugh or cry at his stupidity?

I agree with many of the other comments. His story might not be that great and his writing still in developement, but at least he is open to criticism and isn't as easily offended as so many other amateur writers are. Makes me hopeful that in the future he might actually turn out ok and discover how wonderful IC stories are. (maybe not, but at least he seems sane with a bad sense of humor).

Really my major annoyance here is what everyone else is shaking thier heads about. OOC does not make for a good story, unless you've got one character who's IC, confused, and trying to put everything right because everyone else seems to have been replaced with pod people.
Either way, he is actually being quite nice about it. Which is an amazement in itself. O_o

What kind of review did you leave the person? While I find his reasoning on points 2 and 4 suspect, at least he responded well enough, and said he was sorry if you didn't like the story. Depending on what your review was, he would be entitled to defend himself. If you only hope he continues so you can continue with the sporkage, I find you rather suspect as well...

My review also seems quite irritable, but I think you can tell where the more rational parts are.

I hate to be the one who tells you this, but please get spellcheck. Script is pretty immature writing, especially for humor. Anyone can write a bunch of lines with a few paragraphs in-between and pass it off as funny ( ... )
