Even if Riku was madly in love with Sora, I don't think that he would spend all his time being depressed/weeping in his bedroom just because Sora didn't love him/couldn't see him every day. If Sora went away for a while, he might be unhappy, but I'd think that he'd attempt to deal with it and move on in life. Believe it or not, people actually do

A-freaking-men. x . x; Riku is not emo. If Sora spurned Riku, Riku'd be more likely to start doing a bunch of macho things to "prove" he wasn't hurt than he would be to start moping around. Riku likes to put up fronts.
