RE #7: That was my initial reaction! But then I decided I was wrong for some reason.... Oh well, that'll teach me to disregard instinct :-)

Trust your instincts!

And if you've never seen #12, it's a riot. A bizarre, bizarre film that really doesn't get enough attention.

RE #15 I think that is one of Christopher Lee's finest work. He was very robust and his ability to give us controlled mad man (I don't think its an act for this former OSS agent) is absolutely brilliant!!

I so agree with you! Have you seen Eye of the Devil, aka "13" ever? In a lot of ways, it is a precursor (or a sideways sequel?). A great cast, though it never really seems to quite gel.

Nope!

Just means you have a lot of good (and a few marginal) movies ahead of you.

We spend a lot of time on TCM, so we see a lot of old classics; and our tastes are rather odd in modern movies-- we tend to skip romances and blockbusters almost religiously.

So... which four?

I really enjoy that scene in Ed Wood, for much the same reason that I love the very end of Billy Wilder's Some Like It Hot: both films show us a person making a decision about love in real time, minus the time spent creating drama. Kathy's "okay" and Joe E. Lewis' "Nobody's perfect!" hit exactly that note.
