First week of school down, another 16(?) to go and I'm really excited to be honest. Barring Organic Chemistry (which I'm unreasonably leery of) my classes are great. Plant biology is plant biology but my other two classes are going to be fun. Biodiversity and Conservation of Animals is a dream. I think this class will be what really focuses what I

I read about your ex-not-quite-friend and just wanted to say, Good for you! I've kinda been there myself, and man, the sooner you're rid of that the better. My toughest lesson was to actually ask for what I wanted; if you're used to giving rather than getting that's hard, but actual friends really want to help you as much as you help them, if you just give them the chance. For me, university was great to meet new people I might not otherwise have talked to, and get plenty of time to try them out before taking them home.
Uhm, yeah, unwelcome left-field advice delivered, over and out. You take care now.

This is actually my second time in uni and I actually don't have many friends left from my first time through due to similar reasons (I actually had a friend for four years before she up and went psycho on myself and my friend who was her boyfriend at the time). Part of me hadn't really figured this all out because I've moved a lot and constantly lost and made new friends without this whole hullabaloo.

Man, what is it about friends who turn into nutcases? At least after a while, you kinda learn to see the warning signs, which I guess is something.
(I was crap at making friends my first coupla years at uni; then I realized it was much more fun studying with certain people. First attempts didn't turn out so great, but the friends I have now have seen me at my worst and still [I guess] like me. Although I was once banned from saying "fuck.")

In some news - I'm getting my car into a normal order. So hopefully I can arrange to come see you sometime in the future without feeling like a dead weight. I'm hoping to get my driver's license by November (Yep. That's right. My parents NEVER taught me how to drive. I can give you the story some day).
Anyway Hon, you always have my ear whenever you need OR just want it. I was always "the counselor" back in Jr. High anyway. :3
