On a lark, I signed up for a 500px account a while back. I've used it all of twice, now -- but my second picture is very temporarily popular

I'd never seen bluebirds outside of Disney cartoons until a couple of years ago, but we seem to have a group of 4-5 that come along to the feeder regularly. Those and the Northern Flicker woodpecker are my favorites right now.

It is a struggle and does not come naturally -- the path to wisdom, I mean. And pictures like the bluebird require that plus serendipity. ;-)

(I spent a little while looking for the picture of the ruby-breasted grosbeak I saw all of one time. It hardly counts, but it was a pretty spectacular looking bird!)
