Going on watch

One of the standards in fantasy RPGs when in the wilderness is the watch rota. The expectation is that the character or characters on watch are always looking out for hostiles intent on harming the group. So how do things work where the those on watch are happy to murder those asleep?

... well, there is the whole thing of then being alone in the wilderness, which is not a good position unless you're a superhero.

Good point. So there could be a weighing up by those on watch of their ability to spot hostiles, trade with hostiles etc, in terms of costs and benefits, which the Iow INT/WIS types might then fail, for added amusement?

I am perhaps better at playing evil and psychopathic characters?!

In current RQ campaign having fun with character who inadvertently consumed human flesh jerky when offered by Ogres.
