My wife is getting cancer treatment now. Surgery a couple weeks ago, chemo starts in a couple weeks.
I've been thinking about Jay a lot. His posts of the process have helped me deal with the my wife's cancer.
Also, his repeated mentions of having a loving supporting partner ( Hmmm could it have been YOU! ), being one of the best things to help him cope.
Therefore, I've been following your example and making sure my lady knows I'm there for her, that I love her, and this piss ant disease is not going to make me go away.
I was never that partner. Probably for the best, as he went through I think 3 primary partners during the cancer journey.
I am sorry to hear about Chris. I am sure that your steady support relieves some of her troubles.
My very best to the both of you in this difficult time. I know Jay wanted to write down his experience because he couldn't find that writing when he wanted it. I also know he hated the imagery of a brave battle with a worthy foe. His battle was unwished for and his foe was not worthy.
Cancer is a disease that can make you angry and sad and frustrated and unpleasant. There is no requirement to be brave and strong. Sometimes you are weak and scared and tired and just fucking over it.
