More Tomax and Xamot In Depth

Aug 12, 2015 09:08

Felt like doing another entry, this time focusing on both IDW comics and something weird I thought about Renegades Tomax and Xamot's psychic connection. Expect the usual. I wasn't very interested in IDW, but since I run a Tomax and Xamot themed blog, I felt the need to look into it and express my thoughts. IDW is the fourth comic continuity I've ( Read more... )

You said 'cast the actor' - dont you mean actors? Need a GI Joe and 2 others to play the twins, right? And this is the 3rd GI Joe movie? Not that I follow that stuff, but I hadnt heard about the first two at all. How were they, and who played Joe ( ... )

Well now..one would think if there were two other movies, then they might have cast Joe already.

I'm guessing they will find one actor to play both twins, unless there are a lot of strapping mirror image identical twins competing over the part in Hollywood. -But then they'd have to pay them both. From what I've heard, these G.I. Joe movies are...not good.

The Batman and Superman movies had different actors each movie. I know someone who's an expert on the former. Chris Reeve was my favorite Man of Steel.

Not much I could add to what you said, as you detailed why I don't bother with IDW G.I. Joe. They're also doing the same with the Autobots by darkening them or vilifying them (the first Windblade mini-series, blame everything on Chromia), but the writing is generally stronger and tries to address its flaws occasionally -- realizing how removing the Earth setting might not have been a good idea and have since fixed that -- and sometimes can impress, as seen with Thundercracker's story arc). Not to say I don't dislike the occasional IDW G.I. Joe plot point (I liked how they handled Serpentor, by being a cult leader of Cobra-La and Golobulus as the holy prophet ( ... )

LOL, I put the porn version of the G.I. Joe/Danger Girl crossover in my latest post. It was rapey. I have to wonder if the artist was apologetic while creating it because the Cobra assaulters were non-threatening.

Serpentor running a cult makes me think the twins took his bit in Renegades while he was only a giant snake. They had to have them doing something else because the other main villains were already in the role of rich assholes running EvilCorp.

Ah, well, didn't read that post. I wouldn't be surprised if the artist had second thoughts, given what would happen if he wasn't apologetic, and SJWs ATTACK!

Right. I don't know if there was any co-plotting with IDW and the Renegades writers at the time, but it's always possible. Not having the twins as EvilCorp executives from the beginning is surprising, but what we got wasn't so bad.

I'd imagine if they set up Extensive Enterprises and mentally controlling their executives, it might go a little like this:

One of the few times the 1987 Shredder was legitimately successful, too. No, really.

HAHA..LOL! I skimmed it. I loved that show when I was a kid. Last time I was at my brother's, his kids were watching some new version of TMNT out and I had thought, "I would have loved that.." The guy in the mask was funny.

Renegades twins probably would have needed a redesign if there was ever a season two. I couldn't imagine them in an office setting in those wacky robes with eyes all over the building so that if one left the other to take a leak, their hypnotic hold wouldn't break.
