So...me and food have an odd relationship. In that, I don't really like to eat. Most of the time, I can't be bothered. I am wondering if anyone knows of some kind of high calorie food that would enable me to have 3-4 bites and be done with a substantial part of my eating for the day?

You could stock up on those liquid dietary supplement drinks (like Ensure). There are also nutritional supplement bars that are only 3 or 4 bites. Or you could make a short list of high-calorie foods you DO like and have someone prepare you those, often.

How long has it been that you don't like to eat? Is this a recent development, or have you been this way all your life? I'm just wondering if this is a symptom of some kind.

It's a symptom of my crohns, unfortunately. I wake up too nauseous to eat, and then by the time that passes, I'm too hungry to eat, so I have to wait for that to pass and then half the time nothing sounds good and so I skip it entirely. Which further acerbates stomach problems. So...I am trying to short circuit that. I need 2000 calory pills. Then I could just take one and be done for the day.

Plus, I hate the imposition. Of having to stop what i'm doing and prepare food, or find food, and cook it, and clean up after it. I often skip meals just because I'm too lazy to prepare something. Again, bad habit for someone with vast quantities of stomach problems. Thanks for your concern. *hugs* <3

Ugh. Yeah, that's really a difficult situation. Maybe spend the initial nauseous period in the mornings, concocting a high-calorie smoothie of some kind (keep ingredients grouped together in the refrigerator or freezer and just dump them into a blender ( ... )

That's because you are wonderful and awesome and a giver. :)

None of my SO's are home when I am, except two days a week. *hugs*

Macadamia Nuts, Pecans, Natural Peanut Butter, Avacados, Bananas. Soylent should be commercially available soon, but there are links on how to make it. Good luck!
