Thanks for this post - I don't think I have time to write one myself (I'll be at the pub instead, whee!) but the stuff about bisexual invisibility and stereotyping and the lack of decent language always bears repeating. At least until something in this culture starts to shift.

If you roll with the Kinsey scale of sexuality approach to these matters, would you have a graduated scale of invisibility? Where if you were a zero (totally attracted only to members of the opposite (an opposite?) persuasion) or a six (totally attracted only to members of the same persuasion), you're completely opaque? But if you're a three you're completely invisible? And if you're a 1,2,4, or 5 you're graduated, or ombred, or something?
The physics of bisexual invisibility would an optics professionals neverending enquiry.
