Just when I was getting annoyed about how, as a feelthy immigrant, I can't vote in national elections*, what do you think this rigid white envelope could be that's just come through my letterbox? Couldn't tell, apart from the big black letters that say,

'PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION 5th MAY 2005

Do it. Totally do it. National newspapers, even?

Do you know anyone at, say, a satirical news magazine?

Are you sure about the de-nationalising you if you vote thing? I was under the impression that the laws on that had eased up around 1995.

I'm going on what my dad said, which isn't always entirely accurate...

Postal Voting - now we can all Vote Early and Vote Often! In theory your landlady should only have got a postal vote if she explicitly applied for one - if she didn't, there's something dodgy going on.

Meh. No postal vote for me this time, which is a bitch because my constituency is always close - was won by 7 votes last time. Of course, the choice is between (to quote Marco on this one) "crypto-Tory Ulster Unionist" and (to quote me) "evil murdering thieving bastards". Somehow, for me, the Tories win. For one thing, having an MP who actually sits in the House of Commons and does something to represent me is better than one who runs up expenses but does nowt.

Anyhoos. Newspapers - sounds like a good idea! I've tried to get a postal vote, but can't, and your landlady's had one sent to her when she didn't even apply for one? Me smells something fishy...
