nope, me was lower case, and the PC was running XP.

it was just a weird error from a stupid recovery software that was failing because the hard drive had died on the PC.

XD; can't help you there.

incidentally, am thinking of switching to linux/ubuntu, because my windows system has been giving me pure hell for the last month and if i have to reformat, there's no better time to switch. plus i don't have my goddamned windows startup CD here. XD any suggestions/comments?

Wow, I just put off editing an extremely long linux review/info post I started making the other night.

Once i finish it up it will be public.

The summary is I absolutely LOVE Ubuntu. (but not so much its derivatives kubuntu, xubuntu...etc).

Theres a few tweaks you may want in ubuntu, like installing copyrighted dvd playing support...etc. Beyond that its amazing.

I am in fact typing this reply on my newest ubuntu running notebook.

www.ubuntu.com ^_^ download an iso and burn away.

Backup all your files first if you plan to reformat. If you want to dualboot instead ubuntu will walk you through copying over your bookmarks and settings from windows. ^_^

I encountered the same problem but error code is 34. What do you do to repair your computer?

In this case it turned out to be a bad hard drive.\

It could be many things. I would recommend bringing it in to a local repair shop. You may need a new hard drive.
