Oh, this is a common mistake. We actually start celebrating Canadian Winter around the time of American Thanksgiving. Christmas occurs for the first 3 months of winter, quickly replaced by Easter immediately after December 26.
Of course, this is contingent on the Easter Bunny besting the ground hog on Boxing Day. Considering there are more than one ground hog, some consider this an unfair match, but one has to remember that the poor short-eared rodents lack any mystical powers.
