Needless to say the current weather seems rather hot and oppressive to me, but I can already see dark business-type clouds edging their way in

One of my 'secrets' is I am afraid of lightening. I love the power of thunderstorms, tho

I've had some pretty scary storm experiences, but I still love them, too.

Afraid of lightning, huh? I'll be good and not include any "flashing" references here.

My best storm memories are all from college.

Sitting on the front porch of a friends apartment watching the day give way to blues and purples as a massive thunderstorm rolled in. Watching the wall of rain overtake the school, then the swingsets between us and the rest of the storm. Then watching a lightning strike in the field between us and the school. It's probably one of my best storm memories ever.

That sounds pretty amazing... being able to actually witness the progression of the rain.

Though I admit being able to see the lightning strikes that up-close and person might freak me a bit!
