The Toybox Legacy (Generation 1.3) (Heir Poll)

Aug 16, 2011 13:59

The final update before generation 2, which means it's also time to choose an heir! Who do you fancy?

PREVIOUSLY ON THE TOYBOX LEGACY...

The family faced serious debt.
Lego gave birth to another clone-child, Morning Glory.
The house got glitched so they had to move into another empty lot. Further debt ensues.
Lego is pregnant yet again!

Thermald: IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! *Sob*

And I thought I was a crybaby.

Applejack finally aged up. He rolled Pleasure Aspiration.

It's a miracle how he got such a high aspiration score. And I don't really care for townie kids, so I age them up whenever given the option.

Finally, a spare hand around the house to look after the kids!

Thermald: FINALLY!

I think that's the happiest I've ever seen him.

Thermald: A strange women's invited herself onto our property but I don't care!

Not that Morning Glory isn't still a pain.

Everyone else in the family had next to no energy at that point. Thanks Morning Glory. Really suiting the name there.

So, as you could imagine, we could do with another helper. Hell, we could do with 50 other helpers. Unfortunately, there's still no money for a nanny, so we'll have to improvise.

Ah, Carmen Threepwood (dark_moon689 ) is passing by.

She'll do.

If my time as an arts-and-crafts-obsessed 6 year-old has taught me anything, a generous amount of pritt stick works wonders.

Oh hell yeah.

Carmen: Erm... am I being paid for this?

Next day, long after Carmen got fed up of waiting for her fake paycheck and went home...

You never know, he could be intelligent.

What am I saying? This is an ISBI!

Applejack: I'm sorry mum, I never paid attention in health class!
Lego: I thought that was maths!
Applejack: Same thing!

Now with twice the stress!

And despite my hopes, these babies still look EXACTLY...

...THE SAME. >:I

*Sigh* I guess I'll have to cross my fingers that at least their facial structures are somewhat different. Two girls, named Cherries Jubilee and Posey.

Random townies and defaults that broke into the property: Congratulations! :D
Applejack: Who the hell are you?

Some time after, Morning Glory aged up. He gets along with fellow child Lickety-Split rather well.

They love to share information on their dad's breakdown.

Nothing much else happened but a miracle.

So we'll just skip to the twin's birthdays.

So, this is Posey and... wait a sec...

These girls actually look different from the rest of their siblings!?

The shock got to them.

Now Lego can finally get on with work.

Leaving Applejack to look after the children. Good luck, kid.

Applejack: Mummy, come home please.

Although let's be fair, Applejack is better at looking after the kids than their own parents, who see nothing wrong in stealing the kid's beds instead of using their own.

And let's just skip to birthdays again, because for an ISBI nothing interesting actually happens.

Surprisingly, she too grew up well.

Now the twins.

Erm, Posey, what are you doing? Lego, that's no way to hold a child!

Cherries Jubilee aged a little more normally, thank goodness.

But now there are no more irritating toddlers to look out for, it's been a hell of a lot easier to get some spare money in the house:

And the most important one of all:

With this spare money I got a games console and a second mini-bathroom, as there was much angsting throughout the home over the current bathroom.

Lots of angsting.

Posey: Beautiful teeaaars~
Cherries Jubilee: Why won't this fucking bear die already!?
Morning Glory: Daddy, I'm scared.
Thermald: Me too, son. Me too.

(I think that bear has become the resident Butt Monkey of this legacy... Butt Bear?)

Uh, hello there Aisling (kathsy ), why are you on the lot posing like a criminal mastermind?

OH NO YOU DON'T.
Lego: YOU OWE ME, MISSY!
Aisling: IT'S FREE ANYWAY!

Well, attempt to paint a realistic elephant and if it looks nothing like an elephant you can say it's an abstract anyway. Sorted.

Kezwick: Classroom adviser to sim-teens everywhere. ;)

And then the inevitable happened.

Cassandra Goth: THIS FAMILY NEEDS MORE HYSTERICAL SCREAMING WOMEN!

While all this was happening...

Lego: Goody! Barry got promoted!

Applejack: Hooooow much is that doggieeee in the windooooow~ the one with the waggaly taaaail~

No harm in making a park look pretty, I suppose.

But we won't be making the house into an actual house just yet, since Morning Glory is about to age up. And since I never wait until the youngest children age normally, I'm making Posey and Cherries Jubilee teenagers too so an heir can be chosen and they can all be kicked off to university where the heir can find another looney and the losers can suffer meltdowns and eventually be kicked out of their course. More sense just waiting until the heir has more money as an adult.

So... heir poll. First take the teens to the part so there's a pretty background while they do their "vote-for-me" thingymibobbies, while I conjur up their most important information. Well, when I say "important", I mean... not... so... much... important.
