King Sunggyu stood by the window in his room and stared at his daughter who was sauntering by the pond behind the castle with a couple of servants following behind her. He smiled as he saw how happy his little girl was.
Five years had passed since Queen Woori died, and up to this day King Sunggyu is still trying hard to move on. But how can he completely move on when Hana looked exactly like her? The way Hana smiled would always make his heart ache. He doesn't know if it's a good or a bad thing.
Hana was the name given to their daughter. The one source of his happiness for the past five years, the one and most precious gift that the Queen had left him. Hana. She was a very active girl. She loved to make her father smile and laugh and she never liked to see him sad, just like Queen Woori.
King Sunggyu withdrew from standing by the window and settled himself down on the bed, carefully lying down and staring at the empty space next to him.
“I wish you were here to see her grow up... I'm sure you'll be really proud of her, Woori-ah.”

Beyond the woods, a carriage being pulled by a black and a white horse, was slowly approaching the kingdom.
“Mother, are we gonna stay in this place from now on?” The little girl asked the woman next to her as she looked out of the carriage window and stared at the high towers of the castle.
“Yes, Seobyul-ah.”
Seobyul turned to her mother and with a questioning look, “But I thought only princesses live in castles?”
The woman smiled down at her daughter and pulled her closer to her, placing her hands on top of the little one.
“You will be one, my darling. You will be one.”

“So they're here?” A hushed voice asked through the corridors. Two of the King's advisors were making their way to where the King was currently resting.
“Yes.” The other one replied in the same hushed tone.
“What are they doing here anyway?” The first one asked again, turning left so they can reach the King's room.
“Lady Soori's gonna help the King run the castle.” The other one said before knocking on the big door.
“What? So you mean he's gonna ma--”
Before he could even finish, the door opened and the King stepped out, a smile on his face.
“Oh, hello Jungyeop and Sooman.” The door closed and the three of them stood by the door.
“Ah, hello Your Highness.” Both of them bowed and then looked at each other. “Advisor Youngmin and Lady Soori is waiting for you in the common room, Your Highness.”
Confusion struck the King's face and he felt a pang of pain in his heart.
“Lady Soori? Who is that?”
“She's a relative of Advisor Youngmin, Your Highness.” Sooman said.
“Ah, I see... Well, let's go then.” King Sunggyu nodded his head and walked ahead of the two.

The sun was about to go down but the Princess was still out on the back garden, having fun playing with the servant and other people passing her by. She picked up a pebble and threw it on the water, smiling as she saw how the fishes reacted and swam away as soon as the pebble hit it. The servant watching over her couldn't help but smile.
“Jinki oppa, can we go inside now?” Hana tugged on Jinki's pants and looked up at him with her big round eyes, causing Jinki to smile even more.
“Of course, Princess. Are you tired already?” Jinki crouched down and patted Hana's head, Hana nodded and also yawned.
“Ah, the Princess is sleepy I see...” Jinki grinned and carried Hana, “Let's go ask Taeyeon to get you all cleaned up and ready for supper so you can go straight to bed, how does that sound?”
“Absolutely good!” Hana grinned and wrapped her arms around Jinki's neck.
Hana continued to talk as the two of them entered the castle, pointing out things that she finds pretty interesting even though she has seen those things before. Jinki would always nod and smile at everything the little girl would say, much to the joy of her.
“Oh look Princess, it seems that your father has visitors.” Jinki stopped before the stairs and turned Hana's attention to the lady and her daughter sitting and having tea in the common room.
“Oh, an unnie!” Hana half-whispered and half-yelled and pointed to the girl sitting with the others. “I'll have another playmate, Jinki oppa! We have a new unnie to play with!”
Jinki laughed and nodded, “But I don't think they'll be staying here for too long, Princess.”
“Can we go over there and ask her to play with us? Please?” Hana wiggled in Jinki's arms and the latter eventually put her down.
“But I thought you were already tired?” Jinki crouched down and held her hand, “You were already sleepy, right?”
“But oppa, it's too early!”
Before Jinki could say something, Hana pulled her hand away from Jinki's grasp and ran to where her father, the advisor and the two visitors were sitting.
“Father!” Hana called out as she ran, Jinki ran behind her.
The King and the others all turned their attention to the little girl running towards them with a smile. King Sunggyu smiled and motioned for Hana to come near him and also acknowledged Jinki's presence with a nod and a smile.
“Hello there, Princess Hana. It's nice to see you today. Did you have fun playing outside?” Advisor Youngmin reached out and handed her a piece of bread from the table.
“Yes, Jinki oppa played with me all afternoon! Taeyeon unnie also played with me but only for a few hours because she had some chores to do.” Hana took the bread and instantly bit on it. She looked at Soori and then at Seobyul.
“Father, who are they?” Hana looked up at Sunggyu and blinked.
“They're friends, Hana. This is Lady Soori.” The King pointed over to her and then to Seobyul, “This is Seobyul.”
Soori opened her mouth to reply but was cut off by Hana in an instant.
“Hello!” Hana walked over to Seobyul with a grin, “I'm Hana and i'm 5 years old! How old are you?”
Seobyul blinked before answered, “I'm 7...”
“An unnie! Do you want to play with me?” Hana asked with hopeful eyes. Seobyul shook her head, making the Princess pout.
“Please don't have any hard feelings, Princess...” Lady Soori smiled down at her, “My daughter is kind of hard to get to know. Maybe you two can play tomorrow?”
“Yes, Princess Hana. Seobyul here is a bit tired from the ride.” Advisor Youngmin smiled too.
“Okay... I'll go and take a bath now. Goodbye Seobyul unnie!” Hana bowed and then walked over to Jinki who was quietly standing behind the King's chair and then went away.
“Such a sweet child,” Soori locked eyes with King Sunggyu and smiled.

Hana stood in front of the mirror inside her bedroom with a pout on her face. Why would they want her to wear such an itchy dress?
“Princess Hana? We should go to the church now.” A servant poked her head from outside of the door and looked at her. Hana turned around and took the headband filled with flowers and nodded.
“Is father already there?” Hana asked as she approached the servant.
“The King is waiting for you outside, Princess.” The servant opened the door widely and held Hana's hand.
“And Lady Soori and Seobyul unnie?” The servant nodded.
Hana squealed and skipped as they both went down the stairs, “I'm getting a mother and a big sister now!”
