Hi Teresa!

Pimp away. It seems pretty quiet here today but hopefully some of the kids will pop in.

Greetings one and all.
(Don't ask, I'm not telling.)
Just glad to have a phone I can really play with.

TAZ!!!

How lovely to find you on my computer screen. How are you surviving your grim schedule?

Hello, Ana

I've been googling my daughter's new place near Rugby, and how difficult it will be to get to by train. Euston Station is not on any of the easy tube lines. When she was in Oxford there were lots of options from Paddington, or Heathrow. Northampton, not so much. Plus, industrial midlands are not my ideal location.

I shouldn't complain; she could be moving to Leicester, or Birmingham.

It's funny the tube lines you get used to. I find Euston station much more convenient than Paddington. I used the northern and victoria lines a lot. Where did you have to get from/to?

But yes, the midlands aren't my idea of great, though the countryside around is way prettier than I expected.

On the plus side, the trip from Euston to Rugby looks fine. No changes

I like Paddington because I have used it so much that I know it well. It's the connection for Heathrow, and I have stayed near there many times, for the V&A, and other museums. So getting from there to Euston, or from Euston back to Paddington, with luggage, looks like too many stairs.

S says that the countryside is lovely; she's moving to a wee hamlet called Cottesbrooke, far from the ugly industrial bits. And it's not forever, only for 2 or 3 years while her significant other finished his studies.

So I'm not too dismayed, only somewhat concerned.

Yes, I saw that schedule too. No changes is a good thing.
