Well, my throat is sore since I've been yelling for 90 minutes and then there was a ridiculous singalong to Viva España. With apologies to our German correspondents, Spain were definitely the better team.
It's been one of those glorious London evenings: leaning off the Jubilee bridge over the Thames, just enough of a breeze to cool us down, and then a late dinner with friends where we debated everything from Vermont civil unions to Tube etiquette. I'm having a Dan Rydell (London) renaissance, and feeling very positive about the world today.
We played like crap. Honestly, it was the fact that Mueller was out that killed us, in my opinion- the boys worked well together when he was there, but didn't mesh with Trucholski as well. Which is part of the reason that he was subbed so early; Jogi Loew could see it just wasn't working.
I'd agree with all of that. It was fun to see Piccadilly Circus overrun with Spanish flags at least - going to watch the final with Spanish and Dutch friends on Sunday, should be interesting :D

I may be jealous of your evening. My dinner came out of the microwave and I've been preparing for my class tomorrow. :P
