[That wasn't a voice she would ever forget. Not even after not having heard it for months. But it had been such a short clip and she'd been so surprised she didn't quite trust herself, so when she picked up the phone just a little too quickly, her voice still sounded faintly hesitant.]

It's... a town. People are brought here by... something, or someone. Nobody really knows how or why, but everyone is placed in a 'family'-- a mother, a father, and children. But some of the people here aren't like everyone else. They're called 'drones', and they seem to think that this place is normal, and that everyone has been living here all of their lives. I'm... not really sure they're even people at all.
