In musebox land, there seems to be something a little off. You wake up wherever you went to sleep the night before, but something feels... different. You shake yourself awake, and open your eyes, and are met by sunlight

Well, it actually makes sense. Strange, huge place, suddenly happens overnight, lots of things that he can smell and hear as well as see-- what better place to see it all than from the top of a tree? Nowhere.]
Yes, that-- [he stops from the ramble he's inadvertedly about to get into, as she's already disappeared off someone. God, she makes her decisions fast (and without consent)! He grins, anyway, shrugs, and lopes off after her.]
You know, there's no knowing how tall it'll be. There may be a number of things surrounded it to create an illusion... [ponder ponder ponder]
[his face is normal enough, but his voice seems more mature the second time he says it, like someone much more older; and his eyes - always his eyes, bellying centuries.]
But that's always debatable. Never being afraid... that's when you stop living.
[she stops short and glances over her shoulder] Always being afraid means you'll never accomplish anything. You won't be able to protect anyone, you won't dare to do anything different. You'll be trapped.
[she looks up and around, but the canopy of the trees is too thick to make out where they are in relation to their destination.]
Maybe so. Yet, if you're never afraid, you'll never learn right and wrong. [he nods to himself, and spins round on the spot after catching up with her and... having the inclination she doesn't know where she's going.]
Well, my prowess of knowing where we are... [he licks a finger, and sticks it up in the air...] tells me we best go that way. [he points to Lightning's right.] And my prowess are usually right. Well, mostly. Well, this time I'm right.
Because I'm the Doctor, and there's a breeze blowing in the direction of the mountain. Possibly due to the cave. Haven't quite decided on that yet. ... and I can smell rocks that way. But mostly because I'm the Doctor.
[he starts to walk in the direct he indicated, brushing back trees as he goes.]
That's the most ridiculous, nonsensical reasoning I've ever heard. [but she follows after him, nonetheless. don't want the idiot getting himself killed -- he seems like that type.]
[ugh, what is this guy's problem? she keeps her gunblade held ready but pointed at the ground -- if anything jumps out at them, be it animal or monster, she's ready to shoot.]
I believe you were the one who followed me. Besides, I wasn't lost, just checking my bearings.
Sure, but I'm leading now. [he shrugs, deciding not to press the point, briefly looking down - maybe at her gunblade, but no, at his feet - he's just stepped in a particularly boggy part of the jungle. Damn, he liked these shoes, too.]
So, do you have a name? [he says this to her, but he's still staring at his shoes.]
[Lightning clicks her fingers. sparks flare off them, but otherwise nothing happens. looks like the grav-con unit is still bust... so she skirts the bog by leaping from raised tree roots and rocks, where possible.]
[Ten, on the other hand, carries on trudging round the edges of the bog, relying on-- well, luck to avoid stepping in anything else. He eventually makes his way round unhindered by any more tragedies.]
Well, it actually makes sense. Strange, huge place, suddenly happens overnight, lots of things that he can smell and hear as well as see-- what better place to see it all than from the top of a tree? Nowhere.]
