Mum's computer is not well

Just thought I'd tell you that mum's computer isn't well. Actually it isn't even at home, I think mum brought it to the vet where it has to stay over. The computer has been gone now for nearly a week, and I think mum will soon start climbing the walls. This far she's cleaned the apartment, watched all videos she had lying around, almost finished ( Read more... )

The Passion of The Christ is in theaters soon - this week on Wednesday.. what do you think about this movie? I'm going to see it for sure - the trailers were enough to convince me. I read somewhere that it's the widest opening ever for a subtitled movie; I have a feeling subtitles won't detract from the full effect of this movie though. After looking at the trailers which have no subtitles or english at all, it was reinforced for me that lack of spoken english in this film won't hurt one bit. To sum up my impression of The Passion: it's a work of art.

Another fascinating aspect to this movie is all the controversy that has been generated about it.
Some people, not really representative of Jewish people, but rather self appointed Jewish spokespeople, such as Abraham Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League, seem to have been attempting to denounce this film for months as being anti-Semitic. Now I do like getting comments when I write in my LJ, but I don't understand this one. It has nothing to do with what I wrote, and are you aware of that you're making comments in an LJ belonging to a DOG?? You even made the same comment in my Swedish LJ?! Are you totally silly or what?

Anyway, here is my answer:
Apart from being a dog - an English Cocker Spaniel to be precise - there are several reasons for me not to see this movie. One thing is I live in Sweden, so the movie will probably not reach us for at least a year or so.
Also, are there any cute girl dogs in the film, or even a hint of boxes of doggy biscuits? Are there any ducks or rabbits that would be interesting to bark at and how many squeaky toys are in the movie?
Besides, since I'm a dog, I'm not allowed in to the cinemas anyway.
