I don't venture over to FF.net much anymore because you have to wade through alot of *crap* to find the good stories - I usually only stick with my tried and true author alerts - your lists makes it easier to get to the good stuff - it's like you pre-screened it all for me.

Especially liked "First Night" your pick of the week - I would have missed out on this little jewel if not for you.

Ah, fanfiction.net...there are so many times that I would really, really like to give up on it altogether, but the problem is that it's where a lot of brand-new writers put their stuff, so to me it's worth it to give it all a try in order to find the gems. It's really not as bad as it seems, but now that the volume of NCIS stories has exploded (50+ per day!), yes, there is a proportional amount of stuff that is not very good.

So yay! I'm glad that other people are finding and enjoying stories like "First Night" thanks to this little post.

Just a heads-up, but the original link to this story no longer works. The new link to "First Night" (which is now on its 2nd chapter!) is HERE. The fic disappeared for a little while and then resurfaced. I contacted the author about it, and apparently there were some upload issues with FF.net. But it's back now, and I wanted to share the new link here so no one lost this amazing gem of a story.

Oh, and just remembered, the original reviews were lost when the author had to reupload the story. I went back and left my review again, because I think that fic deserves it.
