Of course there's the dead sea, but unless you have a skin condition, it's really not that interesting. There's also Jerash, but to me that's just a couple of old pillars. Amman is ugly as hell, and Aqaba is only pretty underwater ...
I am too lazy to write a full report yet, but one thing I can say about Jordan is that the hospitality is amazing. It is a totally different culture, and the trip changed my perception of the arabic world - or at least that part of it. But I would only go there again for the donkeys ;-D

And I love Petra and would be thrilled to see it in person, but is that like the one thing Jordan is known for? ;p
