y'know I get tired of hearing mothers tell of their 10 month old babies self-weaning. I just don't think that's possible unless the mother is helping it along without realising it. And then it's unconscious weaning because they don't know any better

Every time I've heard of an under-1-year-old baby "self-weaning", I've asked if they started giving the baby milk. The answer has been yes every single time, usually along with something like, "But just one sippy cup with breakfast." That can be all it takes, seriously.
