N and I went to Dark Rave last night. This marked my first club outing since getting pregnant in late 2006. I never felt I could leave the boy for long enough to make a club night viable, since he needed to nurse every two hours at night until recently. Glad you had fun. I've had similar experiences going back to some of my old haunts and finding that I'm less fond of the scene there now. I'm hoping to hit I Heart Shiva this upcoming trip to Seattle, though. They had better still kick ass. [rueful grin]

Yah, I now carry earplugs in my purse, my backpack and my wallet just in case we impulsively decide to go out to a club. So you aren't the only one having trouble with the volume. I wouldn't take that as the only sign you aren't made out for this stuff....

In particular, try one of the Shakti parties rather thatn DR. It's fun to party with people our own age... =)
