NaNoWriMo? For serious? I have no problem with aiming for high page counts, but if you do this, you must swear, and I mean SWEAR, on a stack of Holy Books that you will not turn into one of those people who constantly talks about NaNoWriMo as if they are the first person on the planet who figured out how to use a word processor.

Actually, I'm not really all that worried, because I couldn't see you turning into one of those types. Do it, if you want to, but don't if you think it will just become one of those bs hassles.

Well, I've done it before, and I did get a little tedious with talking about it. I think I'd be less so now, just because I've written a lot in the interim. I'm just trying to figure out whether it'd jumpstart me back into writing after my dry spell or whether it would just drive me nuts.

I used to do NaNoWriMo, but I would only do it in a month other than November. It felt like too much pressure to do it while everyone else was. Because I am contrary that way.

This.

God, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who gets driven batty by it. I hate being a wet blanket, I want to encourage people in their creative endeavors. I don't mind hearing about the actual novel writing or the characters and plots, but constantly updating about word counts is kind of annoying. I dunno... maybe you could create a filter for it.

Plus I just irrationally hate the abbreviation "NaNoWriMo", I think it sounds like something no one over the age of 2 should utter. :P

I hope you don't hate me now!

Dude. I am a grad student with three papers, themselves totaling nearly 40 pages, due during the month of November. And I am bonkers enough to do Nano. You must also be bonkers enough to do Nano.

Yes, yes you should try. I'm trying again, and I do miss our pizza and writing talks. A month of frentic writing is a wonderful idea. But then again no one has ever said I was sane.
