Yavuld!

As both an Asian Studies and International Studies student I have to disagree with the author of the above quoted article. HR 3077 is not only a just proposition but a necessary one. We must protect the Fatherland from the corrupt influences of these dangerous rogue thinkers who believe the noble and altruistic Western tradition to be other than what our honorable state proclaims is dogma!

To fill students minds with such notions that the extermination of a few Native Americans here and the subjugation of the oriental races was selfish and anything less than the selfless spread of Western culture is absurd! We must not abandon the truth of the White Man's Burden to all the other nations. And how can we in all decency allow them to present their own, bias view of history with all conscience! We must stick true to the traditional, Western objective view lest we deviate and think dangerous, original thoughts!

All praise to our Congress and the protectors of our Fatherland!

Not quite un-American valerie_quinn April 8 2004, 05:28:33 UTC
I really question why I'm returning to the US sometimes...

Ah, hell, I'll be unAmerican. I'm already a heathen (yeah Heathen names!!!) and an ex-patriot, so why not add unAmerican to the list for being an Asian Studies Minor. Wonder if they'll be attacking the English majors next for reading material in classes that criticizes the government and war in general...
