My whites are white again and my house smells like a chemical factory. Well done Dylon Colour Run Remover.

I have been out most of the day at Otmoor RSPB Reserve where I saw a wonderful flock of 200+ golden plovers joining up with a similar number of lapwings to make patterns in the sky. The lapwings flew directly over my head at one point, and ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness! That wall is really demolished isn't it! How annoying you have had damage too.

Well done on the white whites again though - I hate it when odd coloured things do that. I once turned Mr Cee's white karate outfit pink accidentally! I ended up having to dye it black as the dye wouldn't shift from the very thick cotton, and we didn't have enough money at the time to buy a new one.

He could have been the pink karate kid!

At least (I imagine) those people will get the wall builder to fix his work at no cost, but mine is going to be a bill for me. I can only hope whoever did it scraped his van good and proper.

I'm glad your whites have returned to pristine whiteness again.

What a bugger about your wall - and I'm pretty impressed by the holding power of the concrete in that other damaged wall too.

The whole wall looks marvellously solid, doesn't it? All apart from the central bit that collapsed!

I did wonder if I should go for a fence instead of a wall - cheaper to fix when it gets hit (and this wall has been hit 4 times since I've lived here). I quite like the idea of putting some boulders out on the pavement, though possibly people with prams would object. :D

That wall looks like it was hit by a battering ram.

I'm sorry to hear about the wall by your house. It's enough to make one wish for drunks falling into the front garden, isn't it?

I didn't see you on chat earlier because I was playing my usual trick of using my laptop as background noise while I worked. I'll try to catch you tomorrow although I have to work then too. Damn February for being a short month with two federal holidays! My workload is not reduced by the lack of workdays available to do it.

At least the drunks only break their own shins, not the wall.

I am working today as well - not enough hours in the day at work at present, especially since I am inducting my new minion. But first a walk in the mist, and pork chops marinated in lime, coriander and garlic for lunch. Mmmm.
