Greetings to my other heart home, around the Golden Gate (My grandmother and above several generations were born and raised in San Francisco. My great aunt -- grandmother's sister -- told me stories about when they camped out in the Presidio during the Fire.

*mind boggles further* It's dark?! I would never survive. *sheepish* That's incredible that your family survived the Fire; I can't even imagine what it must have been like. I love SF, especially now, when I'm hearing about the weather elsewhere in the nation.
