(Dear Internet - please forgive me, but I've not had time to transfer over, edit and post my pictures. I know, it's a tragedy. I'll edit and add later, I swear)Can I make a confession? You won't judge me, internet, will you

Have I mentioned how much I <3 your posts like this? I've just ordered a starter canning set (which should be here sooooooooon) and I'm stupid excited to try canning some stuff from my garden. Of course, that said, if my husband keeps eating all the cucumbers before I can do anything with them, there won't be anything left to pickle!
You have a great writing style, though - your posts are always amusing and informative (that totally sounds like an advert), and remind me somewhat of the Pioneer Woman (with whom I assume you're already familiar, but if not, definitely check her out, she rocks).
Yay! I'm excited for you! One of the hardest parts about giving up the idea of owning a house this summer was that I'd have to give up a garden. Even if I have a black thumb and kill basil, I still wanted to try.
And I love The Pioneer Woman (and may have been cribbing from her a bit), I just wish her recipes had less butter and heavy cream!
Oh definitely. For those of use who don't spend all day wrangling cows or whatnot, a lot of her recipes are a bit much. But they're soooooo gooooooood. ;-)
I'm not gonna lie, I kinda hate you for introducing me to Pioneer Woman. (Tho' I don't know if I've ever cooked any of her recipes. I just spend a lot of time browsing and drooling.
Your canning posts fascinate me. You're kinda my idol.

Canning's totally awesome and not too hard! I will admit I have scalded myself (not horribly, didn't even blister) a few times, though.
