The recent smattering of earthquakes across the globe has made me wonder what is going on with the the planet's core. The USGS says that earthquake activity has been normal over the past 300 years, with a slight peak in the last fifteen. your march 3 blog was real interesting. it must have been a great tour. we have sunshine here for several days with temps working there way towards 40's each day. drops below freezing at night which is what they want. slows the melting as they are afraid of bad flooding again this year. love, grandma

That's true but it's not releasing any pressure from Mt. Rainier or enough pressure on the Juan de Fuca plate. Although it's venting, the USGS website suggests additional pressure is still building in Mt. St. Helens that could be released due to an earthquake along the JdF fault.

I extremely concerned that Goldfinger is involved in studying active tectonics and talking about megaquakes.
