Writing at work today while waiting for PCRs to finish running instead of getting a head start on the next freakin' huge batch. I don't even know what this is, it probably makes no sense. Oh well.

That was depressing. I think America was my favorite--just the reference to the poem and that he can survive anything.

I'll be honest, I just wanted to find a reason to use the sentence "Finland's been through the darkness before, he's gone through the worst already so he knows he can go through anything now" but I was too lazy to build an actual story around it. So this story came into being.

Don't be sorry for depressing me! I'm just fine now haha. Besides, the fact you can play with readers' emotions is a good thing! Shows manipulative author power! ;D And besides, you put it in the warning.

I think it was a good story for the sentence!

Oh wow! That was really striking. Personally, I was a fan of Russia's and Finland's. China's stuck a few chords, and had a distinct feeling to it. Just can't put my finger on what it was. (Other than being the most depressing of the lot :P)
